I read the story of the little girl that was being maltreated and decided to share my encounter with a homeless girl I was living with.

I am a 35 year old Medical Doctor currently in Europe, I got married quite late because of my dedication to my career. I got married to a European that actually loves Nigeria.

Pregnancy was difficult in the first two years so because of the benefits I have as a doctor , we were pushed up the list for IVF and by the grace of God , I have a beautiful daughter.

I had to stop work at a time because of the demands of motherhood and since my mum wasn't able to come for Omugwo, my husband suggested I go to Nigeria instead (we have a house here too) . My aunt in the village called my mum that she had gone to find out why the dog was barking endlessly on that rainy night only to see a certain little girl seated by the gate . She was carrying a waterproof bag, completely soaked and shivering.

My mum told her to take the girl in and question her. Finally, the girl was a 9 year old whose step father had asked to leave his house and find her father. Her mother had her before she got married to the abusive man. To cut the story short, after my mum met with her mother , she came back with this girl.

Immediately I set my eyes on her, I felt so so sad for her. Very intelligent girl I must say , judging from her background. She loves to read and actually impressed me. I spoke to my husband about her and he said my mum should send her to school that he will take care of the bills.

After about two weeks, I started talking to my husband about the possibility of adopting her. I wanted to give her an opportunity to have a foreign passport and the benefits that come with it. I could see her future , the woman she would become and the next time she will meet with her step father again as a successful lady. My husband agreed.

The purpose of this chronicle is that my child became sick, very very sick with diarrhoea. I did the initial basic things we do in the hospital. She was okay. Next thing she became sick again, got well, then again and again and again ,,,, I took her to the hospital. It was strange because I was doing everything right. My husband got some company online to install spy camera for me in the house ( just for other purposes) and guess what? STELLA, this girl was feeding my child with POOH. Yes! poo. The poo that comes out from the anus.

I make my baby's food, I bath my baby, I change her diapers , I was her clothes, I also was this little girl's clothes (I use washing machine), cook for us, I have a cleaner that comes every other day. The only thing this girl does is just to play with baby and watch Disney with her.

I just went to bath, left two of them in the sitting room. I just felt something in me urging me to watch both of them through the computer in my room. I came out with my towel and connected my system to the spy camera , she was backing the camera and was putting her finger inside my baby's mouth, it looked like she had something on the other hand. I decided to come and stop her (because of the repeated diarrhoea) I actually had no reason to be suspicious.

Immediately I came out and called her name to ask what she was doing, she was shocked (you can tell she thought I would be bathing at the time) . She just fell to the ground and started saying sorry, what she would tell me will hunt me for the rest of my life.

"Auntie, I will tell you the truth" She actually poohed and collected some in her hand and was using the other finger to put it in my baby's mouth.

If not for the kind of training I received as a doctor, I would have passed out. The whole place was smelling of poooooo, she had brought out air freshener and kept by the side. My mum wasn't around at the time.

She and her mum has been begging since, she has no place to go. She wants to go to school. Though she insisted that was the first time , I didn't quite believe her. My husband , how do I want to tell him this sort of thing? He is not Nigerian and I definitely don't want him to start suspecting everyone. I didn't beat her. I didn't touch her.

She is a child right. If we sent her back to the streets, she would most likely become useless. If we decide to help her, how do you correct her in a way that wont be termed abuse?

I am back to Europe, she is still with my mother for now. I just need your opinions on way forward assuming we don't want her back to the streets.

I did a full mental state examination on her, she is psychologically normal. Mischevious and almost killed my child. Just by watching Disney chanel alone,her english is perfect with oyibo accent already.

Her IQ is roughly about 120, she is super smart for her age. I really dont know. She already knows what you are about to say before you even finish. I was shocked the day she operated the washing machine, I loaded it and fell asleep (it is not even user friendly). A friend of mine once told me that she called my Land line and someone picked and was speaking "PHONEE" for her.

She told her that I am very tired and sleeping at the moment then ended the call with *do have a lovely day*
I hide my medical books and lock the first aid box. I havent fully recovered from the shock. I just give God the glory.
Oh! Did I add that she was just 9years old at the time.

Boxer Manny Pacquiao comes for gay people, says gay couples 'are worse than animals'

Philippino boxer Mannie Pacquiao, who has won world titles in eight different weight divisions, has risked the wrath of the gay community worldwide after he implied gay couples were worse than animals as they (gays) couldn't differentiate the opposite sex from the same sex.

Manny, who is currently running for a senate seat in the country's May elections said this when asked about his views on gay marriages which is against the law in the Philippines.

Pacquiao gave the television interview as part of his campaign for one of 12 seats in the nationally-elected senate.

 "It's common sense. Do you see animals that go male to male or female to female? So the animals are even better," Pacquiao told local broadcaster TV5 in an interview aired this week. "Because they know how to distinguish from male to male or female to female. Right? Now if we allow male to male or female to female, then that makes us worse than animals."

It is not the first time, Pacquiao a devout christian has blasted gay relationships and marriages saying his new found faith in Christianity has turned him from a free spending gambler to a devout family man with principles.


Filipino comedian Vice Ganda and singer Aiza Seguerra, who are openly gay, have criticised Mr Pacquiao for his comments, calling him a "hypocrite" and a "false prophet". My Encounter With A Married Ibadan Man

“Hello fine girl!” I turned abruptly to look towards the area I thought the very confident and manly voice had come from.

“What can a damsel like you be doing here all alone by herself?” the voice of the tall, but not-so-fluent man, who seemed to be in his early 50s, jerked me back from my mental rambling.
I had thought it was Michael, my 24-year-old younger brother whom I had been patiently waiting for.
We had earlier parted on entering the new Ibadan shopping mall to pick up a few personal effects for the two days we planned spending in the ancient but peaceful town.
We were in town in order to stay away from the bustle and hustle of Lagos, Nigeria’s busiest state. I however finished getting my stuff before Michael who had decided to ‘sleep’ at the sport aisle of one of the shops, so I had been alone before the voice got me startled.
I pretended as if I didn’t know his antics were directed at me. To ward him off, I began to fiddle with my phone. Phones are lifesavers for girls; especially the internet-enabled ones like IPhones, Blackberries and Androids.
As I ‘buried’ my head deep into my IPhone6, the man took a sit and sat directly opposite me on the same table.
I could not ignore his presence as there was something so unusual about his body spray. I looked up, but feigned not to know that he had come for me the moment he sat on the seat. His brief smile and sparkling designer shirt suggested he’s well to do.
“What are you doing here, sitting all alone?” he repeated his probing question.
“A beauty like you must not be left all alone because of the hovering lions in this our cool city. I am Sif Owonikoko,” he added in a distinct intonation which all but revealed that he was a native of Ibadan.
I was caught in the middle of disgust and laughter. How can a man of this age be ridiculing himself in front of a 26-year-old Lagos babe who is not even bothered about his rantings? Did he just call himself ‘Sif’ instead of ‘Chief’?
I was totally lost as to what reply to give this man seated right in front of me. His fingers were elaborately adorned with rings.
Well, it was not my first time of meeting men who are old enough to be my dad, trying to throw bants at me. But this was totally a different ball game, as ‘Sif’ or Chief Owonikoko looked more confident than the ones I had met in the past.
Before I could say ‘hello’ to everything he said, he had beckoned one of the attendants in the eatery to take my orders. I was having my Hollandia Yoghurt when he got to my seat. This yoghurt remains my best ‘meal’ anytime I need to pick between snacking and drinking.
During my service year, fellow corps members in camp described me as ‘the Hollandia Yoghurt girl’. This can paint the vivid picture of how my love for Yoghurt has been from way back.
As I was through telling the attendant that I would not be taking anything, Chief Owonikoko’s phone rang, and observing the expression on his face as he looked at the display name on his phone, I knew it was a call that came at the wrong moment.
He was impatient as he kept telling the person on the other end, who obviously was a female (apparently his wife), that they would talk later because he was right in the middle of a meeting.
As he continued with his lies, I sighted a woman who was speaking rapidly on the phone walking towards our table. I was too engrossed with the man in front of me as the woman approached.
Maybe if I had paid serious attention to the woman coming towards us among the crowd and taken cover, I would have been able to save myself from the impending danger. The approaching female was the man’s wife!
I got to know too late!
Why do some men lie? Why do some men like to cheat? Someone said it is impossible for men not to cheat because it is in their DNA. But I don’t want to start thinking all men cheat. No!
There are many men outside that won’t toe the path of that married Ibadan man trying to get the attention of a young girl his daughter’s age.
This controversial phenomenon is even worsened by the increasing number of girls who ‘don’t mind’. But then, most men who cheat have this alibi of wanting to ‘experiment’ since they are used to ‘eating a particular delicacy’ every day.
Naturally, it is human to experiment with something different, change ‘menus’ and explore new ‘horizons’. That obviously explains why some men run out of their homes into the streets with their bags of lies, just like ‘Sif Owonikoko’, looking for young chaps to devour.
And although women have a part of the blame, there is a great need for men to gird their loins and behave like real men. No matter the situation, a real man will not lie, cheat or try to be unnecessarily unfaithful.
Back to the matter, Chief Owonikoko’s wife had been trailing her unfaithful husband from the house. But my brother had arrived just in time to whisk me away from the impending disaster.
I will be forever grateful that he came at that moment.
All I heard afterwards was the shameful ranting of the enraged woman as she made to ‘eat up’ her husband raw for sitting next to and chatting with ‘that girl’…me!

What Happened?

THEY DO THEIR BEST TO MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR BY BEING INTERESTED IN YOU.

The goal for any man trying to take you home the night he meets you is making you believe you’re lucky you met him.

He wants you to feel honored that he’s interested in you and in order to do so, he will continually cut you down while simultaneously making himself appear smarter and more entertaining than he actually is.
He will tell you whatever lies he needs to because you’ll probably never find out the truth. Or when you do, it’ll be in the morning when you wake up and notice he’s long gone.

THEY FLIP BACK AND FORTH FROM INTERESTED TO UNINTERESTED IN ORDER TO CONFUSE YOU AND MAKE YOU DIVERT YOUR ATTENTION TO THEM.

No one likes a boring guy — but a guy who makes you feel a roller coaster of emotions — even if only shallow emotions — is a guy any person would deem interesting. When we are given attention, we want to keep that attention.

But once we know we are not at risk of losing that attention, we find ourselves to be uninterested. Guys understand this logic and use it to their advantage.
They’ll keep you on your toes until you practically beg them to take you home.

THEY WANT YOU TO FEEL AS IF YOU NEED THEM. WHEN IT COMES TO PICKING UP WOMEN FOR ONE-NIGHT STANDS, THIS USUALLY MEANS PERKS, SUCH AS MONEY OR ADMITTANCE INTO SELECT EVENTS.

He’ll buy you drinks or bring you to his table. He’ll take you to another bar or club and make sure it’s far enough so that you rely on him for transportation.

He’ll do his best to remove you from your friends and familiar surroundings in order for you to feel as if you are relying on him for either your safety or fun. He wants you to need him, even if only for the next few hours.

THEY WILL MAKE SURE YOU’RE HAVING A BAD TIME SO THEY CAN “SAVE YOU” AND SHOW YOU A MUCH BETTER TIME.

That’s right, some guys will go as far as to ruin your night just so they can then save it.

How this is done depends on the guy and what he himself is capable of, but it can be anything from hiding your purse from you, knocking into someone and having a drink spill all over your dress, to literally getting you thrown out of a venue for some random reason.
As long as you are having a bad time, he has an opportunity to show you a better time. The worse time you’re having, the easier it is for him to improve your night.
