EXCLUSIVE!! I’m Tired of Jenifa’s Diary – Funke Akindele Complains

I just hope that fans of Jenifa’s Diary won’t cry if she stop the show. Lol! Actress Funke Akindele, is far from happy at the moment as she says she is tired of writing, playing lead roles and also assisting director in her popular comedy TV show, Jenifa’s Diary.
The award-winning actress, who recently opened up on challenges of being a comedienne, said:

“We have actually filmed the 5th season but we are airing the fourth right now and we would soon begin shooting the sixth season.
“I must confess that I am tired because it is not easy writing, playing the lead character, assisting the director and also supervising the whole project.
“It is not easy writing a comedy script but each time I want to put it to rest, people tell me that the last season was lovely and they keep asking what would be happening in seasons to come.
They still want to see more because everyone loves Jenifa.
I believe that Jenifa is a brand that has come to stay because we use her as a vessel to pass messages across to young people.
“I don’t see Jenifa’s Dairy coming to an end [but] being an actor/actress is not easy not to talk of being a comedian/comedienne.
It is really difficult to think of something fresh and new. When I started Jenifa’s Diary, I knew I had to start the story afresh because some people did not see the movie.
“I was concerned about how I was going to do something totally different from the movie.
When it was time to shoot Season 2, I felt I had to move away from what I did in Season 1 and that was the same dilemma I faced in Season 3″, she stressed.

Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has released behind the scenes of the music video to the soundtrack of her hit TV series "Jenifa's Diary."

The TV series stars the actress alongside rapper Falz TheBahdGuy, Diana Yekinni, among other talented actors.

The previous seasons of show has featured the likes of Banky W, Waje, Beverly Osu,  Lota Chukwu, Alex Ekubo, Ali Nuhu,  Juliana Olayode, Amechi Mounagor, Wunmi Obe and more.

The actress announced the return of her hit movie 'Jenifa' to the small screen In early 2015. According to Funke, she realized people love to hear that part of Jenifa in her.

"I actually wanted the character to take a deserving rest but I’m amazed that many years after, the Jenifa’s character still resonates. Anywhere I go, it is welcome, and people love to see, hear that part of Jenifa in me," she said.

"Jenifa’s  Diary" is a comedy television series that depicts the hilarious and amazing adventures of Suliat,  a.k.a Jenifa. 

A secondary school dropout turned hairdresser who lives in a backwater town called Aiyetoro, Jenifa is loud, over-bearing, very opinionated, and an interesting character to watch.

The movie earned Falz an AMVCA 2016 "best actor in a comedy" nomination, and Akindele a "best actress in a comedy" nomination.

Chinedu and Osita disclosed to some friends over the weekend that one of their embarrassing moments took place in Italy some years back when policemen in the country mistook them for minors, threatening to arrest their promoter for not using baby carrier for them in the car.

MooreVibe's Blog gathered that the movie stars had arrived Italy in company of comedian Julius Agwu for a show, and they were picked from the airport by their promoter, who was driving them to their hotel when the policemen stopped them at a checkpoint.
They (Chinedu and Osita) had to alight from the car, show their Nigerian passports to the policemen before they actually believed that they are adults with the physical frame of a child.
“I still remember that day and the feeling vividly…it was funny. Since then, Julius (Agwu) has been using the incident as joke in some events, but people don’t know that it’s a true life story,” Chinedu rapped.

Fraudsters Impersonates Hafiz Oyetoro, Many Duped

What is happening to Hafiz Oyetoro popularly known as Simply Saka or Saka who has made a fortune for himself as a comic actor, a character that has landed him mouth-watering endorsement deals from two giant telecommunication companies is not funny.

According to the actor, he is currently being impersonated by some unscrupulous elements that are bent on using his good name to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Obviously some of the duped people had reached out to him, so Saka deemed it fit to alert the members of the public of the fraud attempt before they fall victim and also clear his name of the mess. He sent out a warning via his Facebook page.

“I, Hafiz Oyetoro (a.k.a SAKA) wish to alert members of the public to be aware of some unknown fraudsters who are currently deceiving people that I am running a promo. They are parading themselves as agents in one A&T Anti-courier service, overseeing the said promo on my behalf. These fraudsters are reportedly asking people to claim some mouth watering prizes such as laptops Hi-phones, etc. They are using fake promo codes to ask Nigerians to pay the sum of Nine Thousand, Eight Hundred and Fifty naira [9,850] to the following accounts:
1. Monday Rotimi, First Bank accout No. 3065486053
2. Peter Ade, Diamond Bank Account No. 1102393240
3. Peter Ade, Access Bank account No. 0691938545
The phone numbers they use in calling their victims are:

Meanwhile, Saka’s followers are of the opinion that since names and bank account of the fraudsters are known, police should go after them.

Fast Rising Nollywood Actress Is Dead

A popular Nollywood makeup artist and actress Tosin Abeniade Badmus is dead.

According to Yorubamoviegist.com, the cause of her death is still unknown. Badmus was reported to have been ill for a while before she died in the early hours of Monday, November 30.
The young Badmus was a makeup artist in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood.
On November 17, another Nollywood actress died. Hajia Hafsat Sharada was from Kannywood and she died at the age of 70.

Empress Njamah Talks Marriage, Plans To Raise Kids

Actress Empress Njamah has revealed her desire to get married and raise kids. She also talked about the growth of her foundation and plans to keep it running.

In an exclusive interview with Punch the actress and philanthropist talked about the Empress Njamah Foundation, her acting career and the reason she left Lagos to settle in Abuja.
She also talked about marriage saying: “If I had the opportunity to see God, I would ask him when I would get married and have kids of my own.”
She explained that she left for Abuja owing to business reasons and not as a result of controversies as has been speculated.
According to her, since relocating she has been closer to the Abuja women whom her clothing line targets.
“I relocated from Lagos to Abuja because of my business. My clothing line was suited for women of the north and that is why I relocated to Abuja. I make long dresses and my target is Abuja women.”
She also disclosed that if she hadn’t moved to Abuja, it would have been difficult to successfully take care of the kids in her foundation.
“If I relied on Nollywood, I would not be able to feed these children. My relocation has nothing to do with Nollywood. Even if I was still in Lagos, I would have still faced my business till it could stand on its own.”
Empress said she is impressed with the growth of the foundation which has been in existence for 10 years.
“I am so happy that most of the children have grown and are doing very well. Sometimes I find it difficult to carry on but God has always been faithful at the end. I built four blocks of classrooms for the children because I know that most of these children are very intelligent especially the blind ones.
“I have adopted all the children to my foundation. In Abuja I have about 1,400. Before I left Lagos, my foundation was catering for over 800 children,” she said
Empress Njamah is an actress and business woman.
She is mostly remembered for her controversial personality and her relationship with dancehall star Timaya.
She has been in the movie industry for over 10 years.
