CHAN 2016: Eagles Trash South African Team 3-0

The Nigerian senior team, the Super Eagles trashed the South African premier league side, University of Pretoria 3-0, on Tuesday, January 5.

Tunde Adeniji scored two goals while Ifeanyi Mathew scored a goal.
This is one of the international friendly games lined up for the super eagles ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2016 tournament which kicks off in Kigali, Rwanda on January 16.
Coach Sunday Oliseh had earlier named 23 players who will be be taking part in the tournament in Rwanda.
The eagles who arrived the Pretoria on Saturday, January 2, have been training twice daily for the competition.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will be confronting the Palancas Negras of Angola  in another international friendly on Wednesday, January 6 at the Tuks University stadium.
The skillful Angolan national team finished as runner-up at the 2nd African Nations Championship in Sudan five years ago, while Nigeria finished in third place at the 3rd edition in South Africa in 2014
The super eagles team will be captained by Chima Akas in the absence of Gbolahan Salami, will also play Tunisia and Guinea in Group C, with the match against the Guineans scheduled for the city of Rubavu.
The Eagles will clash with Cote d’Ivoire at the same Tuks University Stadium on January 11 and fly into Rwanda on January 15 for the competition.
