When Leyton Orient beat Portsmouth on Boxing Day, assistant manager Andy Hessenthaler would have expected a hug or a warm handshake from president Frencesco Becchetti.
Instead the assistant manager received a kick from the club owner.
Becchetti was pictured kicking Hessenthaler up the backside after the 3-2 victory in League Two following an argument.
Hessenthaler reportedly brushed off the incident after the match but there were signs of confrontations as Orient’s owner was seen barking instructions over the course of the 90 minutes which appeared to anger Hessenthaler after the final whistle.
Hessanthler said: “Well it is Boxing Day, to be fair – no it was nothing, it’s fine. It was a bit of banter, a bit of stuff that’s been going on between us the last few weeks.
“It probably looked worse than it was but no, it’s all good.”
